How to Watch the Premier League in Canada in 2026-27

Watch the Premier League in Canada: Fubo streams all 380 matches in 2026-27. Kick-off times in every time zone, the next fixtures and what it costs.

17 minute read Published
Panel of Saturday 3 pm UK Premier League kick-off times across Canada: 11:30 am in St. John’s, 10:00 am in Toronto, 8:00 am in Calgary, 7:00 am in Vancouver

To watch the Premier League in Canada in 2026-27, you need Fubo. The streaming service holds the exclusive Canadian rights from 2025-26 through 2027-28 and shows all 380 matches live every season, including the Saturday 3 pm games that are never shown live on British television. No Canadian television network carries the league: not TSN, not Sportsnet, not CBC, and no cable or satellite tier adds it.

The other thing to get right is the clock. A standard Saturday kick-off in England is 10:00 am in Toronto, 7:00 am in Vancouver and 11:30 am in St. John’s, and twice a year the gap shifts by an hour for a week or two. This guide covers who shows what, when the next matches start where you live, what it all costs, and how to keep hockey, the NFL and the CFL without paying for a cable package you do not need.

The short answer

  • Fubo is the only Canadian home of the Premier League in 2026-27, and its deal runs through 2027-28. All 380 matches stream live, with selected matches in 4K.
  • No Canadian TV channel shows it. Cable and satellite packages do not include the league, whichever tier you buy.
  • Fubo’s Sports plan is $31.49 a month at its regular rate, or $293.99 for a year, as listed when this season began in late August. Promotional prices come and go.
  • The season runs from August 21, 2026 to May 30, 2027. After a three-week international break, the league returns on Saturday, October 10 with matchweek 6, and Liverpool host Manchester City on Thanksgiving Sunday.
  • A Saturday 3 pm UK kick-off is 10:00 am Eastern and 7:00 am Pacific. The early 12:30 pm UK game starts at 4:30 am on the west coast.
  • Mark the week of October 25. Britain changes its clocks a week before Canada does, so every match that week starts an hour later than usual here.
  • IPTV is not a substitute for Fubo on this sport. IPTV MN’s published Canadian lineup does not name a Premier League channel. Where IPTV fits is everything else a football fan watches, such as TSN, Sportsnet, CTV and the news, for $77 a year, which costs far less next to Fubo than a cable package does.

That last point is the one most guides leave out, so it gets its own section further down.

Who has the Premier League rights in Canada?

Fubo has been the league’s Canadian broadcaster since the 2022-23 season. In April 2025 it signed a new multi-year agreement beginning with 2025-26, and Fubo describes itself as the rights holder through 2027-28. The deal is exclusive, so there is no second broadcaster, no simulcast on a conventional network and no match sublicensed to TSN or Sportsnet. Fubo set out the terms in its renewal announcement.

Two rows in that table cause most of the confusion, and the first one works in your favour.

The 3 pm blackout does not apply in Canada

In Britain, football matches kicking off at 3 pm on a Saturday are not broadcast live. The rule is decades old and exists to protect attendance in the lower leagues, which is why a supporter in Manchester often cannot watch their own club’s Saturday afternoon game on television.

Canada has no such rule. Fubo streams every one of the 380 matches, the 3 pm games included, so a fan in Ottawa can watch a Saturday fixture that viewers in England can only follow on the radio. On a typical Saturday that is three to five matches at once, which is a large share of the weekend’s football.

American and British coverage is not for Canadian viewers

NBC and its Peacock streaming service are the league’s American broadcasters this season, and their coverage is heavily promoted on American channels many Canadians watch. That licence covers the United States, not Canada. The same goes for Sky Sports and TNT Sports, which hold the British rights. If an advertisement suggests you can watch the Premier League on an American or British service from your sofa in Winnipeg, it is advertising to someone else.

It is the same trap Canadian Formula 1 fans fell into this year with an American streaming deal, which our guide to watching F1 in Canada explains. Sports rights are sold country by country, and the Canadian rights are usually held by someone other than the brand you see most often.

What time do Premier League matches start in Canada?

Premier League kick-offs are set in UK time, and they fall into a handful of regular slots: 12:30, 3:00 and 5:30 pm on Saturday, 2:00 and 4:30 pm on Sunday, and 8:00 pm for the occasional Friday or Monday match. The table below converts each slot for the rest of October, while Britain is on summer time and Canada is on daylight time.

The pattern is simple once you see it: Toronto is five hours behind England for almost the entire season, and Vancouver is eight. Football in Canada is breakfast television. Whether that is a pleasure or an endurance test depends on which coast you live on.

Two weeks a year when everything moves an hour

Britain and Canada change their clocks on different weekends, and each mismatch shifts every kick-off by an hour.

  • Sunday, October 25 to Saturday, October 31. Britain returns to GMT on October 25 and Canada does not follow until Sunday, November 1. For that week a 3 pm UK kick-off is 11:00 am in Toronto and 8:00 am in Vancouver, an hour later than the table above.
  • Sunday, March 14 to Saturday, March 27, 2027. Canada moves to daylight time on March 14 and Britain waits until March 28. Every match in that fortnight also starts an hour later than usual here.

Outside those two windows, the table holds for the whole season, because both countries move together.

Saskatchewan changes, even though its clocks do not

Saskatchewan stays on the same time all year, which means its relationship with England changes twice. Until November 1 a fan in Regina sees the same kick-off times as Calgary: a Saturday 3 pm match starts at 8:00 am. From November 1 the province lines up with Winnipeg instead, and the same match starts at 9:00 am. It is a small thing, but it is exactly the kind of detail that makes people miss the first half.

Newfoundland’s half-hour offset is the other quirk. A supporter in St. John’s adds thirty minutes to the Atlantic time, which makes the Saturday lunchtime match a 9:00 am start and the 3 pm games an 11:30 am one, the most civilised football hours in the country. A programme guide that handles all six Canadian zones correctly, half-hour offset included, takes the arithmetic away entirely; the coverage page explains how that works on the IPTV side.

The next Premier League fixtures in Canadian time

The league comes back from a three-week international break on Saturday, October 10. These are the next two matchweeks as scheduled by the Premier League in its October and November fixture update, converted to Eastern and Pacific time.

Mon, Oct 19Tottenham v Coventry City8:00 pm3:00 pm12:00 noon

Two dates stand out for Canadian viewers. Liverpool v Manchester City on Sunday, October 11 kicks off at 11:30 am Eastern on Thanksgiving weekend, comfortably finished before anyone has to think about a turkey. Coventry City v Newcastle on Monday, October 12 lands on Thanksgiving Monday itself, at 3:00 pm Eastern and noon Pacific, which makes it the rare Premier League match most Canadians can watch on a holiday afternoon.

Fixtures do move. Matches are rescheduled around European games and cup ties, and dates can change at fairly short notice. Treat the table as the plan rather than a promise, and check the official fixture list in the week of the match.

How much does it cost to watch the Premier League in Canada?

Fubo sells the Premier League in its Sports plan. These were the regular Canadian rates when the 2026-27 season began, and Fubo frequently runs discounted introductory pricing on top of them:

  • Monthly: $31.49
  • Quarterly: $83.97 at the regular rate
  • Annual: $293.99 at the regular rate

A Sports Pro tier adds DAZN’s sports programming on the same app for a higher price. Streaming prices in Canada have moved several times in the past two years, so check Fubo’s own site for today’s figure before you budget around any of these.

For a supporter who only watches football, that is the end of the calculation. One Fubo subscription covers the league. The more common situation in a Canadian household is that football is one of several sports, and that is where the real money is decided.

The question nobody asks: what about hockey?

Fubo does not carry TSN or Sportsnet. That means a Premier League subscription alone leaves out the NHL’s Canadian broadcasts, the CFL, the NFL on TSN and CTV, the Raptors and almost everything else on Canadian sports television. Most fans then default to keeping cable as well, which turns a $293.99 football decision into a $1,300-plus television budget.

Fubo Sports and IPTV MN, 12 monthsAll 380 matchesTSN 1 to 5, every Sportsnet regional feed, RDS, TVA Sports$370.99

The cable figures are typical Canadian advertised rates of $85 to $130 a month once introductory pricing ends, and our line-by-line breakdown of a real cable bill shows where that money goes. The important point is the second row: cable gives you no Premier League at all, so a football fan pays for Fubo either way. The only choice is what sits alongside it.

How do I watch the Premier League and Canadian sports without cable?

The two-subscription setup is the cheapest complete answer for most Canadian football households: Fubo for the Premier League, and an IPTV plan for Canadian live television.

IPTV MN carries TSN 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific, Sportsnet One, 360 and World, TVA Sports, RDS, RDS2, NHL Network and NBA TV Canada, alongside the CBC, CTV, Global and Citytv stations and 24-hour news. For a British-born supporter, BBC News and Sky News are both in the lineup too. The full published list is on the channels list, and it is worth checking against your own must-haves before you spend anything.

To be completely clear about what it is not: IPTV MN’s published Canadian lineup does not name a Premier League channel, and Fubo is the only licensed Canadian home of the league. The wider catalogue of more than 54,000 live channels spans international lineups from more than thirty countries, so if one specific international channel matters to you, ask live support to confirm it is in the current lineup before you buy rather than assuming.

The plans are $17 for one month on one screen, $27 for three months, $47 for six and $77 for twelve, which works out to $6.42 a month. Two screens for a year is $127, useful if the football is on in the living room while someone else watches the news in the kitchen. Payment is by Interac e-Transfer from your own bank app in Canadian dollars, there is no auto-renewal, and the IPTV subscription page sets out exactly what you receive. The full list is on the pricing page.

The cost argument is strongest in winter. From October to May the Premier League overlaps the whole NHL regular season, the NFL season and the Grey Cup run-in, so the months a football fan most needs Canadian sports channels are the same months they are paying for Fubo. A Sunday can easily run from a 9:00 am match in England to an NFL afternoon and a hockey game at night, and only one of those three is on Fubo.

Setting up for Saturday mornings

Two apps on one television is a fifteen-minute job. The order matters more than the choices.

  1. Put both apps on the same device. A streaming stick or a recent smart TV handles both. The installation guides cover the IPTV side for each device, including the Amazon Fire TV Stick, Samsung smart TVs, Apple TV and Android TV. Check that Fubo supports your device before you buy anything new.
  2. Run an Ethernet cable to the main television. Football is hard work for a video stream: a fast ball, a crowd that fills the frame and constant camera pans. A wired connection removes the most common cause of a stutter during a counter-attack.
  3. Test during a live match window. Ask for a 24-hour IPTV trial on the free trial page; no card is needed. Watch a live game at the busiest time of the evening, because that is the only fair test of any stream.
  4. Build a favourites list. Put your TSN and Sportsnet feeds and your local news at the top, so switching from a Sunday morning match to an afternoon NHL game takes one press.
  5. Set reminders in local time. Most football apps and websites quote UK time or Eastern time. Convert once, store it in your phone, and the Saskatchewan and clock-change problems disappear.
  6. Record the 4:30 am matches. On the west coast, a Saturday lunchtime game in England is a pre-dawn start. Recording it and watching at breakfast with your phone face down beats setting an alarm.

Budget roughly 8 to 12 Mbps per screen for HD, 15 to 20 Mbps for Full HD and 25 to 40 Mbps for 4K, and add the figures together if two screens are in use at once. Each Mbps of streaming uses about 0.45 GB an hour, so a two-hour match window in HD at 10 Mbps is roughly 9 GB, and a weekend of four matches is closer to 36 GB. On an unlimited plan that does not matter; on a capped rural plan it does. If the picture does stutter, the buffering fixes guide works through the causes in order rather than guessing.

Five Canadian supporters, five setups

An Arsenal fan in Vancouver. The return from the international break is brutal: Arsenal v Leeds starts at 4:30 am on Saturday, October 10, and Nottingham Forest v Arsenal is a gentler 8:30 am the following Sunday. They want every Arsenal match and the Canucks on Sportsnet Pacific. Setup: Fubo plus a twelve-month IPTV plan, with the early games recorded rather than watched live. See IPTV in Vancouver.

A Liverpool supporter in Toronto. Liverpool v Manchester City at 11:30 am on Thanksgiving Sunday, Brentford v Liverpool at 10:00 am the Saturday after, and the Maple Leafs every other evening. Setup: Fubo plus IPTV, because the Leafs’ regional and national broadcasts are split across Sportsnet and TSN feeds. See IPTV in Toronto.

A Manchester United family in Calgary. United v Tottenham at 10:30 am on October 10 suits a Saturday perfectly; the Flames on Sportsnet West suit the evenings. Two people watch different things at once on weekends. Setup: Fubo plus a two-screen IPTV year at $127. See IPTV in Calgary.

A retired Everton supporter in Halifax. Hull City v Everton at 10:00 am on a Sunday, Saturday 3 pm games at 11:00 am, no interest in hockey, and the CBC over the air. Setup: Fubo on its own. Selling this person anything else would be selling them too much. If their viewing ever widens, IPTV in Halifax sets out the local picture.

A Chelsea fan in Regina. Chelsea v Bournemouth on October 10 is an 8:00 am start, and after November 1 the same Saturday slot becomes 9:00 am, because Saskatchewan’s clocks stand still while everyone else’s move. They also follow the Roughriders on TSN until the CFL season ends. Setup: Fubo, plus IPTV for the CFL through the Grey Cup, which our guide to watching the CFL and the Grey Cup without cable covers feed by feed.

Who this is not for

An honest guide has to say where the answer is no.

  • You only watch the Premier League. Fubo alone covers it, and you do not need IPTV, cable or anything else.
  • Highlights are enough. If a short highlights package on a Sunday evening satisfies you, a live subscription of any kind is more than you need.
  • You live in the United States. NBC and Peacock are your route, and the Canadian rights discussed here do not apply to you.
  • Your internet is slow or unsteady. Below roughly 15 Mbps of steady throughput per screen, live football is one of the least forgiving things you can stream.
  • You are on a tight data cap. A full weekend of football in HD can pass 30 GB. Most Canadian home plans are unlimited, but some rural and fixed-wireless plans are not.
  • You want everything on one regulated bill. Some households prefer their television billed by the same carrier as their phone and internet. That is a reasonable preference, and cable serves it, although it will still not include the Premier League.

For a broader view of what separates a good provider from a cheap one, the best IPTV in Canada page sets out the standard to hold any service to, including this one. The help centre answers the practical questions that come up before paying.

For the Premier League itself the answer is straightforward: Fubo is the licensed Canadian broadcaster, and a Fubo subscription is the licensed way to watch the league here.

For the rest of your viewing, the technology is legal, and it is what Canadian carriers use for their own television. Bell Fibe TV and Rogers Ignite TV are both IPTV, so internet delivery is the mainstream method in Canada rather than a fringe one; the what is IPTV page explains how it works. What matters legally is the licensing of the content a particular service carries, not the delivery method. IPTV MN supplies network access and reseller services and does not host, record or broadcast any media itself. Subscribers are responsible for making sure their own viewing complies with the Copyright Act and the Broadcasting Act of Canada. The full position is set out in our disclaimer.

Frequently asked questions

What channel is the Premier League on in Canada?

It is not on a traditional channel at all. Fubo, a streaming service, holds the exclusive Canadian rights from 2025-26 through 2027-28 and streams all 380 matches live each season. You watch through the Fubo app on a smart TV, streaming device, computer or phone.

Is the Premier League on TSN or Sportsnet?

No. Neither TSN, Sportsnet, CBC nor any other Canadian network holds Premier League rights in 2026-27, and no cable or satellite package includes the league. Fubo has been the exclusive Canadian broadcaster since the 2022-23 season.

What time do Premier League games start in Canada?

A standard Saturday 3 pm UK kick-off is 10:00 am Eastern, 11:00 am Atlantic, 8:00 am Mountain and 7:00 am Pacific. The early Saturday match starts at 7:30 am Eastern and 4:30 am Pacific. Every kick-off starts an hour later than usual from October 25 to 31 and from March 14 to 27, 2027, because Britain and Canada change their clocks on different dates.

How much does it cost to watch the Premier League in Canada?

Fubo’s Sports plan was $31.49 a month at its regular rate when the 2026-27 season began, with a regular annual price of $293.99. Introductory discounts are common, and prices have changed several times recently, so check Fubo’s site for the current figure.

Can I watch the Premier League on Peacock or NBC in Canada?

No. NBC and Peacock hold the American rights, and that licence covers the United States only. In Canada, Fubo is the only licensed home of the league.

Does IPTV MN carry the Premier League?

IPTV MN’s published Canadian lineup does not name a Premier League channel, and Fubo holds the exclusive Canadian rights. What IPTV MN covers is the rest of a football fan’s television, including TSN 1 to 5, every Sportsnet regional feed, RDS, TVA Sports and the major Canadian networks, for $77 a year. Live support can confirm any specific channel before you pay.

Where this leaves you this season

The Premier League is the simplest major sport to find in Canada: one broadcaster, every match, no regional blackouts. Fubo is the answer, and if football is the only sport you watch, you can stop reading here and subscribe there.

For everyone who also wants the NHL, the NFL, the CFL and Canadian news, the decision is what sits next to Fubo. A cable package costs more than a thousand dollars a year and still does not include the league; an IPTV plan for Canadian television costs $77. Take the free trial and test it during a live game before you decide, check the feeds you need on the published channel list, and compare the plans and prices when you are ready. If it cannot be made to work on your setup, the refund policy gives you seven days to get your money back.
