IPTV Canada: Frequently Asked Questions
Twenty questions, answered properly rather than in one line. If yours is not here, live support answers anything at any hour — and we would rather explain something twice than have you buy something you did not understand.
The basics
What is IPTV and how does it work in Canada?
IPTV means the television signal reaches you over your normal internet connection instead of a cable or a satellite dish. You already pay for internet, so nothing new needs to be installed in your home. IPTV MN sends you a login, you enter it once into a free app on your TV or streaming box, and the channels appear. Any Canadian internet plan of 25 Mbps or faster is enough for HD, and 50 Mbps is comfortable for 4K.
How fast will I get my IPTV subscription after I pay?
Straight away. Interac e-Transfer payments arrive in a few minutes, and your login is emailed the moment the transfer lands. Most customers are watching within ten minutes of paying. Nobody has to come to your house and there is nothing to ship.
Can I pay with Interac e-Transfer?
Yes — and it is the only method we accept. You send the e-Transfer from your own bank app, exactly as you would send money to a friend. That keeps everything in Canadian dollars with no conversion fee, and means no card number is ever entered, stored or exposed.
Do I need a VPN to use IPTV in Canada?
No. Our servers are inside Canada, so the connection is already local and already fast. A VPN would only add distance and slow your stream down. Some customers on a very restrictive office or campus network choose to use one, but for a home connection it is not needed.
Devices and setup
Which devices work with IPTV MN?
Almost anything with a screen and an internet connection. Fire TV Stick, Android TV, Apple TV, Samsung, LG, Roku, Chromecast, NVIDIA Shield, Windows, VIDAA, Formuler and BuzzTV are all supported, and we have a written guide for each one. One subscription covers up to two devices depending on the plan you choose.
Will I get TSN and Sportsnet for hockey?
Yes. All five TSN feeds and all Sportsnet regional feeds are included, plus TVA Sports and RDS in French. Because every regional feed is there, a local blackout on one channel never hides the game from you.
What happens if a channel freezes?
Message live support and we move you to a different server, usually in under two minutes. Every plan also includes a free backup server URL that you can switch to yourself at any time without asking anyone.
Is there a contract or a cancellation fee?
Neither. You pay for the period you chose and it simply ends when it ends. There is no automatic renewal, no credit check, no equipment to return and no cancellation fee.
Service and quality
How much internet speed do I need?
Around 15 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for Full HD and 50 Mbps for 4K. Almost every home internet plan sold in Canada today is well above that. If two people watch different channels at once, add the numbers together.
Can two people watch different channels at the same time?
Yes, on the plans that include two connections. The 6 month and 12 month plans both come with two devices, which means one television can show a hockey game while another shows a movie.
Does my subscription work while I travel outside Canada?
Yes. Your login works anywhere with an internet connection. Canadians who spend winter in Florida or Arizona use it to keep watching their home channels exactly as they would at home.
What is an M3U link and what is Xtream Codes?
They are two ways of giving the same subscription to your app. Xtream Codes uses a username, a password and a server address, and it brings the full TV guide with it. An M3U link is a single long web address that holds the channel list. We send you both, and you use whichever your app asks for.
Do you keep a TV guide and catch-up?
Yes. A full seven day electronic programme guide is built in, and most major channels keep several days of catch-up so you can go back and watch a game or a show you missed.
Can I get a free trial before I pay?
Yes. We offer a short trial so you can check the picture quality and the channels on your own equipment before spending anything. Ask live support and we will set it up for you.
Account, payment and refunds
What is your refund policy?
If the service does not work properly on your setup and we cannot fix it, you can ask for a refund within seven days of buying. The full terms are written plainly on our refund policy page.
How do I become an IPTV reseller?
Our reseller programme gives you a credit panel where you create and manage your own customer lines at wholesale prices. You set your own retail prices and keep the difference. Details are on the reseller page.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. Card payments run through an encrypted payment page and we never see or store your card number. Interac e-Transfer goes directly between your bank and ours, so no card details exist at all.
Which cities in Canada do you cover?
All of them. Our servers sit in Toronto and Montreal and reach every province and territory, from Victoria to St. John’s. City pages on this site list the exact local channels for each region.
Question not answered here?
